I'm used to getting what I want. I've always taken what I wanted. No apologies. No excuses.

I know what it feels like to be betrayed, when someone else is calling all the shots. I've been down that road, and I'm not going there again. I've got my family, my friends, and the brotherhood. That's all I need.

I believe in Fate. Everything happens for a reason. But what do you do when Fate kicks you in the gut, plays a cruel joke on you?

When I met Quincy Priest, she was a flame I couldn't put out. A freakin' wildfire. She blew in to my life, burned it to the ground, then left me standing in the ashes. Gone as suddenly as she came. I'm not sure if I should love her or hate her… But I don't hate her. I could never hate her.

What do you do when the person who broke you may be the only person who can put you back together?

Can you run from Fate?

Do you even want to?

This is Brody's story

Lori's review:

I came across Choices as a freebie a while back, read it recently and loved it. When I saw Fate was being written and it was going to be in Brody's POV, I was excited ! I LOVE the male POV of a story. As a woman, I usually have the same feelings as the female POV, but it know and "understand" the male POV is exciting to me. I was always for Team Brody, cuz I love the "bad boy", but I loved Declan too. I was hurt for him during the whole book because from the first glance of Brody Quincy gave him, I knew that Quincy would choose Brody. I was angry at her for playing Declan and using him to "balance" her mind. Brody deserved her whole heart, not just a piece. When Quincy got the phone call during the middle of the night about her sister while in Brody's arms, I wanted to reach in the book and strangle her when she asked for Declan. Really?! Wtf. She had chosen Brody, but now she can't let him be the one to console her? So damn wrong! I cried with Brody after he closed the door and started crying. I don't like to spoil a book for someone who hasn't read it yet, so I won't say more than this, Brody has really grown up after this point in the book. He couldn't be any hotter, ok yes he could. Lol. I love the ending and hope we might see I little more of Brody and Quincy in the future ( hint hint Sydney. :).

"What the heart has known, it will never forget."

Once upon a time, two lawyers fell in love across a courtroom …

Gabrielle and Braden have fallen in love and face a bright future together if they can just survive all of the crazy people they encounter, like anonymous napkin droppers, UFO enthusiasts, crooked businessmen, nude drunk drivers, and a woman who tries to break into jail. When the gavel falls will the verdict be happily ever after?

Come join the fun as the sexiest couple in the Philadelphia Criminal Court System shares more witty banter and red hot lovin’ with a dash of mystery thrown in. The story that began with The Law of Attraction concludes with lots of love and laughter in The Home Court Advantage

Lori's review:

I haven't laughed so much reading a book lately!!!! HCA has lots of laughs, lots of sex and is lots of fun!!! I loved Law of attraction, but I think HCA is now my favorite.

"Good thing they weren't a few minutes later". He smiled. Yeah or they might have seen chocolate with nuts."

"Senator's Son Smothered by Snatch."

"I don't know how much more she can take Cap'n." "oh baby, we haven't even engaged the thrust yet. I'm planning to send you into hyperspace"

These are my favorite quotes!!!! I hope we see more of Braden and Gabrielle!!!!!

He's mine, and I'm his. Our love is all-consuming, powerful,
imperfect, and real...

In the international bestseller REAL, the unstoppable bad boy of the Underground fighting circuit finally met his match. Hired to keep him in prime condition, Brooke Dumas unleashed a primal desire in Remington "Riptide" Tate as vital as the air he breathes... and now he can't live without her.

Brooke never imagined she would end up with the man who is every woman's dream, but not all dreams end happily ever after, and just when they need each other the most, she is torn away from his side. Now with distance and darkness between them, the only thing left is to fight for the love of the man she calls MINE

God, could there be a hotter alpha male out there than Remington Riptide Tate?!!!!!! I think not!!!!
Well, wow-OMG!!!! I thought I loved Remy in Real, but in Mine, I think I just went over the deep end!!! I love alpha males as it is, but Remington Riptide Tate is the biggest alpha male ever. I read it so fast that I am now re reading it because I am sure that I missed some good stuff while trying to stay awake until 3 am to finish cuz I just couldn't put it down.
Brooke is much more "grown up" in Mine. She realizes she made a huge mistake leaving Remy like she did and is going to do everything she can to make it up to him. Remy's life was turned upside down when she left him at the hospital with no way to come after her. My favorite thing that Remy and Brooke do is expressing themselves through music. And Iris is the best song for Remy to ever give to Brooke. Every line of that song says it all. "When everything's meant to be broken, I just want you to know who I am." Actually the whole playlist that is in this story is head on spot for these two lovers.

"He's mine, and I'm his. Our love is all-consuming, powerful, imperfect and real....

Cannot wait for Nov 26 when Remy's story comes out!!!!!
RRRRRIIIIIIIPPPPPPTTTTIIIIDDDDDEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Captivated by Erica’s drive and unassuming beauty, he’s wanted nothing more than to possess her since she stepped into his boardroom. Places to find Meredith Wild:

I read this a month or so ago, before I became a part of this blog team, but I wanted to put my review of it up here on our blog site.  My review is at the bottom of this post. there is a small spoiler in the review, but not so that it ruins anything.

Alert: a little spoiler in the review
OMG!!!!!!! Let me start by saying I am an "older" reader and while I have a young teenage daughter and these kinds of things go through my head daily hoping what Brad did to her would not happen to my daughter, I was very happy that Amanda seemed to get help through therapy and was able to move on with her teenage years and found a young man who cared for her very well and took their time getting to know one another. I don't like giving away spoilers but when Chris was sick for more than a few days, I got worried, really worried. And then bam, she leaves us with a HUGE cliffhanger. UGH!!! I really really love this story and cannot wait for the continuation, so hurry up Melinda!!!! Oh and Brad, he really needs to have the decency to abide Amanda's wishes and leave her alone, as much as he wants to say he's sorry. Sorry doesn't give her back what he took from her.

Waiting patiently(not--LOL) for Say Forever-the sequel to this great book!!!!!

Resolutions
by Teri Riggs

DEA agent Eve Taylor has had her fill of alpha males. When Resolutions’ operative and former lover, Dillon “Mac” McKenna, threatened her hard-earned independence, she ran. As a teen, Mac watched his family fall apart after his mother died doing dangerous U.N. work. The possibility of losing Eve to a mission ignited an overwhelming need to protect her. When he forced her to choose him or her job, she walked away. Two years later, it seems all his nightmares have come true and he’s tasked with rescuing her from a Colombian prison. Mac has never stopped loving Eve, but does he dare risk his heart when he’s so terrified of losing…

On the run, Mac and Eve must learn to trust each other again in order to stay alive.

About the Author:

Teri Riggs was destined to be a writer. As a small girl she didn’t read bedtime stories, she made up her own. Who needed Little Red Riding Hood or The Three Little Pigs when there were so many great tales bouncing around in her head? When she grew up and became a mother to three little girls, she continued the tradition of making up bedtime stories. On the occasions she chose to tell conventional fairytales, Teri usually gave them a bit of tweaking here and there or added a new ending. Her girls loved it.
After her daughters had the nerve to actually grow up and leave home, Teri discovered she had a passion for writing and jumped right in. It came as no surprise she chose to write mysteries and happily-ever-after’s since that’s the genres she loves to read.
Teri lives in Marietta, Georgia with her husband, one of her daughters and two dogs that seem to think they rule the world. And some days Teri thinks maybe they do.

Enjoy the following excerpt for RESOLUTIONS:

Beefy hands wrenched Eve awake from a fevered sleep, pulled her from the cell, and shoved her into a musty-smelling hallway. I’m being moved? A guard pushed her with one hand, keeping a tight grip on an AK-47 rifle with his other.
Her shoulder throbbed in perfect cadence with the pains shooting through her broken wrist, and she had one badass headache from being punched in the face a few too many times. Using her good hand, she walked fingers across one cheek, then the other. The right side was totally numb. Her eye had swollen shut, and she couldn’t see a damn thing out of it. She ran her tongue across her teeth and tasted the tart, copper flavor of blood. Three teeth loose. Well, at least they’re still in place.
In spite of the relentless pain, she stayed determined to survive whatever Mendoza dished out. She wasn’t a quitter. No, sir. Duncan Falls, Iowa didn’t grow quitters. Eve ignored the constant ache in her ribs, courtesy of a guard’s overzealous kick, and took in a deep breath. She willed herself to stay alert, to keep pushing. Escape. Third times the charm.
Eve slapped the guard’s dirty hand. “Hey, Pedro, stop being so damned pushy. Where we going anyway? We got a hot date I’ve forgotten about?”
He looked puzzled then shoved her again.
“Don’t understand English, do you, Diego? Bet you understand this.” Eve drove her elbow into the guard’s face. Thick rubbery cartilage gave, and she whooped triumphantly.
Blood squirted from his nose and he screamed.
Eve stepped back. “Yep, I’m pretty sure you understand that.”
Unable to grab the guard’s assault rifle, she clutched her injured shoulder, and took off in a slow jog, no longer able to push any harder.
Her escape was short lived.

Blurb:

Life is rough when you're gorgeous, rich, talented and so sexy the media won't leave you alone.

It was certainly the truth in Christian Lasher's case. He returns to the neighborhood of his childhood to escape the spotlight, hungering for a change in his creative endeavors. In the midst of his soul searching he meets Megan and is captured by the tantalizing hint of her hidden fires. Megan knows nothing about his wild, rebellious youth or his career as a rock star―and Christian would prefer to keep it that way.

There was much, much more to her than the role of a fragile victim.

Megan Shreve is a sculptor with creative depths and passions that tragedy had forced into the shadows. When she looks into Christian's eyes she sees herself for the first time as an exciting, sexy woman. She longs to discover more of herself in Christian's arms and in his bed.

Two passionate souls destined for one another―unless the stifling roles imposed by tragedy and fame rip them apart
